Transcript by talk
What was said from the stage, word for word: the moderator’s introduction, the talk and the questions from the audience for every segment. The text is the same one that runs as subtitles on YouTube.
How to read
- The text is what was said, without literary editing: slips of the tongue, repetitions and colloquial turns are kept; only stutters and “uh”s were removed.
- The English text is the subtitle track published on the video: a translation of the proofread Russian transcript, made block by block and tightened to fit the subtitles, so in places it is shorter than the Russian and pure filler words were not carried over. The Russian version is the primary one.
- Speakers are not labeled: the recording has no speaker separation. A dash at the start of a paragraph marks a change of speaker where a pause confirms it; not every change is marked. In the “Talk and Q&A” part, questions from the audience, the speaker’s answers and the moderator’s remarks run one after another, including the moderator’s farewell to the speaker.
- The “Moderator’s introduction” and “Talk and Q&A” subheadings were placed by hand at the speaker’s first words; a talk ends where the moderator begins the introduction to the next one.
- [applause] and [music] are markers from YouTube’s automatic captions; there are few of them, and applause after most talks is not marked.
- Products are named as pronounced (for example, “MK Enterprise”; on the MKO website the product is called “MK Corporate”).
- Names, companies, titles and the order of the talks follow the official program; the talk numbers are the program’s, so talk 6 is in the list even though it is not in the recording.
- There are no timecodes in the text. To jump to the right point of the video, use the “Watch from…” link in the header of a talk.
- The closing of the online part of day 1 is at the end of Bederov’s file. Cuts are marked in italics in square brackets.
